Dollhouse Alley, LLC Miniature houses and accessories

About Us

Dollhouse Alley started with the purchase of an unfinished Victorian dollhouse, the Lady Anna by House That Jack Built, for my daughter Ali's ninth birthday. Unsure of how to complete the house, we looked through books about the Painted Ladies of San Francisco, which provided inspiration for paint colors and furniture style.

The real fun began shortly after we started working on the house, and soon Ali decided that she wanted to see it electrified. After doing some reading, I saw that it wasn't too difficult, and we both found it exciting to see this miniature project come to life in a new way. After Ali's house was finished, I began work on my own house (a Real Good Toys Simplicity kit), and soon found it difficult to stop there.

After a few years of enjoying our own houses, I decided I wanted to do something that could bring our shared love of miniatures to others. After a lot of planning and building inventory, a name was decided upon, "Dollhouse Alley," named for Ali, and the store was born. Since 2004 the shop has grown, and we now service people from all over Long Island and up and down the East Coast. In almost 7 years of business we have moved several times around Wantagh, but have always kept the same business integrity through hard work and dedicated customer service, providing tips formed through years of experience and passion for miniature design.

We have loved every minute we've been able to share with you our passion for building and creating beautiful memories in miniature, and look forward to meeting you in the future!
